The BEST Facebook App for Mac OS X

If you’re looking for a lightweight solution to checking FB every so often then this app is it. Stop searching. Install it now.

Best Facebook App

I’ve tried 4 or 5 and keep coming back to this one. It’s a winner. Try it!

Notifications broken with Yosemite

Menubar and sound notifications are not working with Yosemite. Hopefully a fix is in the works.

Very Good & Practical….

This is a very good app. All the functions in it work properly, with no problems whatsoever. However, the only thing that I could not do with it was change the look of my page. When I shifted my page from a regular look to the new "Timeline" view, I could not do it on here; instead, I had to go to my browser and do it from there. Other than that, all the features work as advertised. UPDATE: After they have updated the app, it still is my go-to app for Facebook. I no longer have to login from a browser to fully use Facebook because of this app. Very, very well designed, and gives you all the features you’d expect on Facebook.

Yosemite

Needs an update with yosemite. Worked really well, now it freezes all the time. Please update because I love this app!

Buggy in Yosemite

This app used to work flawlessly until Yosemite. Now, the app window auto resizes randomly. But what’s worse, as I scroll within the app, the content displayed within the window jitters, making the using experience quite annoying. I’ve tried this app on several different machines, but the problem persists. Been waiting for an update post Yosemite release, but none as of yet (hence the lower rating). Until these issues are resolved, I guess I will have to continue “old school”ing it, i.e. browser.

It is really great BUT!!!

I really loved this app. I downloaded it Jan 2013 and for some reason now it drains my battery life extremely fast. I thought I had a bug or something was wrong with my mac book pro. so I took it to apple and found out the source of my problems. This app! even if you are not on it and you are still logged in and the app is still running, your battery life will DRAIN! Well at least mine did and my Macbook Pro is not old I had it since 2013.

Spanish spell checker not working properly [Corrector ortográfico en español no funciona bien]

The Spanish language spell checker not working properly, for example, does not correct or cautions that words like "hechar" is misspelled in fact does not exist in the Spanish language. [El corrector ortográfico en idioma español no funciona bien, por ejemplo, no corrige ni advierte que palabras como “hechar” esta mal escrita, de hecho no existe en la lenguaje español.]

This is an Excellent App

I’ve had this for a few days now, and I really like it. I would love it if it had a ‘Mark as Read’ link for notfications in Mobile view. FIPLAB Ltd., please add this to the next update, will you? Thanks! I prefer to use Mobile view, and sometimes I don’t want to click on a notification because I really don’t care to find out what it is, nor do I want to open desktop view just to get a single notification cleared a.k.a. marked as read. But that’s what is necessary because I don’t see a way to get rid of notifications in Mobile view other than directly clicking on each of them. In Mobile view when the Notifications globe is clicked you’ve got the Facebook settings link on the righ-hand side in the form of a gear icon, and there is plenty of space on the left-hand side to put the ‘Mark as Read’ link. Other than that this is a really, really great app! Thank you!

Not good in Yosemite.

I really like this app and have never even thought a bout getting a different app for Facebook…. until now. Since I upgraded to Yosemite, the app will often open up its window so that the right side of the app is off my screen and I can’t click on the messages or notification icons. Apart from that, the app is great, but the bug makes it so I don’t use it now.

Stable and easy to use

Many Facebook “helpers” are horrible. I think it is because Facebook changes so much or something. Anyway, this seems to be very stable and after a little bit of a learning curve, it works. We shall see how it keeps up with the multiple changes Facebook seems to be constantly going through.

NOTification

I love this app but notifications aren’t its strong point…don’t get any real-time notification center notifications for chats, but I sometimes randomly get a notification for whatever reason for something that i’ve looked at ages ago. I let go of notifications, but even the icon blinking feature doesn’t quite work right. Some chat messages elicit the icon blinking, some don’t, some just turn the icon green and sometimes not. It’s just mind-bogglingly unreliable. That being said, the rest of the app is quite flawless. It really is, I’ve had no issues with the app nor with battery drain. Other apps i’ve used were always one of the “apps using significant battery” but this one has long been a very efficient app. Thanks Devs but i’d really love notifications to work!

Not a bad app, just one weird image bug

I haven’t had the problems with resizing or notifications that others with Yosemite have experienced. Generally, my experience with the FB app has been fine. There’s just one odd bug. Some clickables (such as the “post a photo album” link at the top of my news feed), show up as a bright pink block rather than the image. I’m not sure why this is, but it’s a tad annoying since it won’t fix itself when I restart the app.

I like it.

This seems to be easy on memory and very useful for people like me who hate to go into Safari -> Facebook.

DOWNLOAD PICTURES BUG

I’m using the app for some time now but also for some time it really bugs me the fact that I cannot save the pictures anymore and if I try it will also mess up my spot on my wall so I gotta scroll down all the way to where I were initially, really annoying, pls fix this and I’ll be back with a 5STARS review, ty. ;) Other then this bug, I really enjoy using the app pretty much at a daily basis nice interface and all that blue beeing my favorite colour, but of course there’s always place for better or worse...

SPAM

App constantly spams the user asking for ratings and to join their mailing list. Unacceptable for a paid app and super annoying in their free apps. Free doesn’t mean you get to SPAM your users all the time.

MenuTab Email

I find it very handy to be able to check on email without totally stopping what I’m doing. This came in very handy when my computer was struck by two virus’ that prevented my search engines from working. Even though I couldn’t get ‘online’ I could still access my email through the tab! The only thing I wish it could do is create emails and attach files and photos, but hey, one of these days maybe we will be blessed with an upgrade that will take care of that… I can only hope...

Update for Mavericks

Love this app a lot but…. It needs to be updated for Mavericks as it now is almost unusable because it constantly freezes! Please fix this! I would hate to move on to a different app. :(

update needed

It’s a great program but it needs a update for Yosemite, please update!

good app, makes accessing FB convenient, but needs updating

I used this app several times a day. Way better and more convenient than opening up a browser. The only gripe I have is that it hasn’t been updated since OS X updated to Yomemite. So, the scrolling is a bit choppy and there are pieces of the FB site not formatting correctly.
